While some of the events on this list are bad in a way that's interesting or entertaining, Over The Edge is the only pay-per-view that you absolutely shouldn't watch for any reason whatsoever.

Over The Edge 1999 was one of the darkest days in professional wrestling history, where we tragically lost one of the nicest, kindest and most talented wrestlers to ever step foot in the squared circle.

At the time, Owen Hart had reverted to his superhero gimmick of The Blue Blazer, and it was suggested that he enter from the roof via a harness, only to become entangled and fall flat on his face. Tragically, there was a malfunction with the early release mechanism and Owen fell seventy-eight feet onto the top rope/turnbuckle and into the ring.

Owen was rushed to a nearby hospital but died from the injuries sustained from the fall, as WWF decided to carry on with the broadcast of the event. Jim Ross informed the viewers at home of Owen's untimely passing, but the audience in the arena were none the wiser for the rest of the event.

WWE refused to release this event for fifteen years, until the launch of the WWE Network which edits out all mentions of Owen Hart, besides an opening 'In Memory of' graphic.
