Unforgiven 1999 is a mostly passable show, if not for two matches which bring the entire show down, making it not just awful but laughable in how poorly thought out the whole affair was.

There are some great tag-team matches as both the Dudley Boyz and Edge and Christian both being to make their ascension through the division, and a good showing from a recently debuted Chris Jericho, but no-one is going to remember Unforgiven '99 for any of that.

The main event saw Triple H, The Rock, Mankind, Kane, The Big Show and The British Bulldog compete in a six-pack challenge for the vacant WWF Championship, with the injured "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as a "special enforcer". Despite the talent involved, it's a case of too many cooks spoiling the broth and British Bulldog especially stands out for not being able to keep up with the best and brightest of the Attitude Era.

The real horror show of Unforgiven comes in the form of the Kennel From Hell match, where Al Snow fought Big Boss Man inside a cage, surrounded by dogs, inside a Hell in a Cell, all because Boss Man tricked Al Snow into eating his pet chihuahua.

The dogs immediately begin humping, peeing and pooping and the match is exposed as overly gimmicky and unnecessary for a midcard feud based on an outlandish premise.
