10 Worst Booked Dream Matches

8. Brock Lesnar Vs Daniel Bryan (Survivor Series 2018)

AEW Full Gear 2020
WWE

Mind-blowing in and of itself but ultimately frustrating to imagine what might have been, the one and only singles meeting between Daniel Bryan and Brock Lesnar came not from weeks of presenting a David & Goliath story with a twist, or vignettes of the pair's diverse and divergent backgrounds, or even outlining exactly what the company thought of one guy but not the other.

It happened after Bryan turned heel six days earlier.

A bizarre month for WWE saw the company's biggest star shelved at the worst possible time. Becky Lynch was forced out of a singles showdown with Ronda Rousey thanks to an errant Nia Jax fist, having just made herself an icon no-selling the damage. Entering over-delivery mode, Vince McMahon booked AJ Styles' 371 WWE Championship reign to end in an unannounced match that saw Bryan win with a kick in the d*ck.

Bouncing back from his own badly bungled babyface return, Bryan flipping so suddenly was amazing and a match against Raw's Universal Champion Lesnar at the November supercard was an incredible prospect. Having longer than a week to toast it would have been nicer.
