10 Worst Case Booking Scenarios For WrestleMania 35

3. KofiMania Ends In Failure

There isn't a hotter male babyface in WWE than Kofi Kingston, whose ascent to World Title level came totally out of nowhere, and may never have happened had Ali not been struck down by injury before Elimination Chamber.

That's not to say the former 205 Live man would be facing Daniel Bryan had he stayed healthy. Far from it, in fact: Kingston is here because the fans demanded it. The popular midcarder's workhorse performances in both singles gauntlet matches and the Chamber made him the people's choice to face Bryan at 'Mania, and this well-spun story of a veteran underdog grinding his way to the top the old-fashioned way should conclude next weekend, where general booking logic would dictate he becomes WWE Champion.

Those who've become invested in his programme (IE: 90% of the audience) aren't going to be happy if he doesn't, and there's a strong chance he won't. Perhaps Vince McMahon truly thinks Kingston is a B+ player. Perhaps he still sees him as a successful tag team guy rather than a successful singles guy. Neither is beyond the realms of possibility, and it could get heated if Kofi falls.
