This wouldn't be totally horrible, of course. Both Rollins and Ambrose are among the best current WWE performers, and although the last Shield encounter turned out to be something of a disappointment, you'd back them to put on a serviceable match in New Orleans.

Problem is, there's something all-too-familiar about the way the story is likely to pan out: close-knit tag team, tension bubbling under the surface, a telegraphed betrayal. It would smack of Jericho-Owens from last year, except perhaps even more predictable.

Let this story conclude at Survivor Series with Ambrose's inevitable heel turn, and - if we're being greedy - let's have one of them head into 'Mania fighting for the world title as well. They are too good for the mid-card (or the tag division, incidentally).
