10 Worst Champions Of The Best Titles In Wrestling
6. Dean Douglas - WWE Intercontinental Championship
There is a contingent of wrestling purists who believe that, historically, WWE's Intercontinental Championship is the most prestigious title in the company. There is no question that some of the greatest matches in history have been fought for the IC belt (Steamboat vs. Savage immediately comes to mind). In 1995, Shane Douglas, then under the intellectual gimmick "Dean Douglas", was scheduled to face Shawn Michaels for the IC championship. Douglas was handed the belt after Michaels was forced to forfeit due to injury. This was no free ride, however, as Douglas immediately had to defend the title against former Intercontinental champ Razor Ramon. Eleven minutes later, Dean Douglas' only Intercontinental title reign was over and in the books. To date, it is still the shortest IC reign in history, and it wasn't even won in an actual match.
