10 Worst Crossovers In Wrestling

8. The A-Team

Hulk Hogan, Mr. T, WrestleMania

A trained MMA fighter still in his prime was unable to break loose from the clutches of a middle aged Virgil and IRS. This was the tale of The A-Team on Raw, one of the most confusing, dimension shattering nights in the history of WWE.

Back at the inaugural WrestleMania, Mr. T helped Hulk Hogan defeat Roddy Piper and Mr. Wonderful. However, T didn’t play Baracus, his character from the show. He was just Mr. T. But when Rampage Jackson came to Raw he was Baracus, and Roddy Piper didn’t seem to realize there was a difference.

For some reason Ted DiBiase Jr. hated The A-Team, and hatched a plan to knock them out briefly with gas. He and his henchmen then kidnapped Baracus, and brought him to the ring. Well, as Piper was about to murder Rampage Baracus, Gene Okerlund and Dusty Rhodes thankfully came to the rescue. Every single other wrestler in the back was probably too embarrassed to help.

However, this night will be best remembered for the debut of The Nexus. It’s just too bad that the A-Team escaped the building unharmed. Above all, perhaps the most ridiculous, far-fetched thing in the entire segment was Piper calling The A-Team the movie of the summer.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
