10 Worst Endings In WWE SummerSlam History
5. SummerSlam 2015
SummerSlam 2015 was headlined by a WrestleMania XXX rematch between The Undertaker and the man who snapped his streak.
After The Deadman returned at Battleground and cost Brock Lesnar the WWE Championship, their second showdown was set and there was intrigue aplenty.
The bulk of the match was an intensely physical affair between two men with some serious storyline beef. However, that beef turned to mouldy spam when the finish rolled around.
Lesnar locked 'Taker in the Kimura and the bell rang, seemingly because The Deadman had tapped out. Whilst he had tapped out, it was only the timekeeper that had seen this as the referee's vision was obscured. The timekeeper took it on himself to ring the bell and end the match - something that has literally never happened in wrestling before or since.
The referee restarted the match and The Deadman took advantage by low-blowing Lesnar and putting him in Hell's Gate to score the win. But The Undertaker's big win over Lesnar was soured by one of the most contrived and logic-less endings in WWE history.
A real shame, as most of this match was really good.
