10 Worst Excuses For Terrible Wrestling Moments

6. The Usos Blame A WrestleMania Time Cut

What Happened: A brother vs. brother battle pitting Jey Uso vs. his sibling Jimmy sucked the life out of some on WrestleMania Saturday in April 2024. The 'Mania 40 scuffle was a giant letdown, one that included far too many superkicks and never really got going before the finish. It...wasn't very good at all.

The Excuse: Jey would be the first to admit that this literal Bloodline brawl should've been better, but he's also talked about WWE cutting their time on the day during interviews. According to Uso, agents told he and Jimmy that another match earlier on the show had gone long, so they'd only be getting around 11 minutes bell to bell.

11 minutes is still long enough to tell a story and have a good match, lads.

Granted, it surely hurt to learn their match would be shorter than expected, but still - did The Usos really need to stuff so many superkicks in there? Their accidental tribute to The Young Bucks fell way short of what people had hoped to see, and the timing issue stands as a poor excuse for that.
