In April 2017, Charlotte Flair was brought over to SmackDown following WrestleMania 33, and was not so subtly positioned as the biggest star on the brand. Charlotte would be immediately placed in the title scene against Women’s Champion Naomi, which irked other blue brand superstars Natalya, Carmella and Tamina. The trio would interrupt the title match, being accompanied by perennial laughing stock James Ellsworth and dubbing themselves The Welcoming Committee.

In a somewhat surprising series of events, the group would in a way accomplish their goal of stopping the rise of Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch, defeating the two, along with Naomi, in a six-woman tag team match. What earns this group a less than desirable reputation was their poor match quality and chemistry, as well as the fact that they were only together for a few weeks.

In a move the SmackDown writing team must not have been aware of ahead of time, the first ever Women’s Money in the Bank match was going to be blue brand exclusive. This meant that every member of the division, minus champion Naomi would be in the match, including all members of The Welcoming Committee. The brevity of the group’s existence, as well as how quickly it was forgotten, more than earns them a place on this list.
