10 Worst Finishes To WWE WrestleMania Matches

7. Becky Lynch vs Ronda Rousey vs Charlotte Flair (WrestleMania 35)

The finish to the first ever women’s match to headline WrestleMania isn’t a bad one by any means - it’s just a little oddly underplayed given the sense of history behind the moment.

The culmination of a remarkable ascent saw Becky Lynch as the most over figure in the company, and taking on perennial rival Charlotte Flair and bonafide bigger-than-wrestling superstar Ronda Rousey in an eagerly anticipated main event with both brands’ belts on the line.

After a quality match, Becky scooped Ronda into a crucifix pin and… won the match. The fans were so desperate for Becky to triumph that they didn’t care too much how she did it; all the same, this wasn’t the decisive victory we might have hoped for, looking on the lucky side - and not unlike a botch.

It doesn’t do the match any harm - the important thing was to get the belts on Becky and send the fans home happy after an incredibly long show. Still, conventional wisdom would have suggested Becky went over more emphatically (and probably pinning Charlotte rather than the otherwise-unbeaten Rousey).
