1. AJ Styles
AJ Styles is one of the best wrestlers in the world today. He has been dominant in Ring Of Honor, Impact Wrestling which he helped build, New Japan Pro Wrestling where he led The Bullet Club, and WWE.
To WWE’s credit, they have largely left his persona and ring style alone. It speaks volumes when WWE does not tinker with someone who wasn’t built in house. This is why it was such a head-scratcher when Impact Wrestling did just that.
In 2010, he was already ‘the face running the place’ for Impact Wrestling. However, a change in philosophy saw the company bring in a lot of veteran talents such as Hulk Hogan, Eric Bischoff, and Ric Flair. World Champion Styles was paired with Flair and turned into ‘The New Nature Boy’. As talented as both are, the gimmick was not a good fit for either superstar.
