Seriously, what else could top this list?

Undertaker versus Goldberg at Super Showdown in 2019 might be one of the worst matches ever worked. It easily has to be the worst between two former world champions in WWE. This match had everything you could (n)ever want in a bad match: horrific botches, a wrestler knocking himself loopy, a botched move that nearly paralyzed a guy, and neither man able to move at what most would call a normal pace.

Both men’s reputations took huge hits in this match. While nearly all of the focus is on Goldberg for his Jackhammer attempt that nearly dropped Taker on his head, UT didn’t acquit himself well either. Undertaker was sluggish and barely able to move himself. That he didn’t screw up a Tombstone is remarkable in itself.

As it turned out, Goldberg and Undertaker decided they needed to redeem themselves later that year, and they did somewhat. Taker had the decency to retire after WrestleMania 36 last year, but we’re still being “treated” to Goldberg’s contests, including what’s sure to be a disaster at this year’s Crown Jewel.

It’s doubtful Goldberg/Bobby Lashley will top this one, but let’s not count the Hall-of-Famer out just yet.
