10 Worst Matches From WWE's Saudi Arabia PPVs

One of WWE’s big problems comes when they book big-time matches where neither man can really afford to lose, so they figure out a “clever” way to book the finish.

Case in point, Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in 2018. WWE was in full “figure out creative ways for Roman to lose without really losing” mode at this point… and they came up with a doozy here.

As a cage match, it wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad either, with both men hitting some big moves before the climax, with Roman spearing Brock through the cage. But here’s the catch: Reigns was stuck on the cage, which was angled down from the apron to the floor, and Lesnar managed to get his feet on the floor first (allegedly), and thus “escaped” the cage first and retained the title.

See? Roman was screwed! You should boo Brock! Just a desperate cop-out that would have been booed out of any arena in the States.
