The first ever ECW Living Dangerously is best remembered for the ECW Television Championship match between Taz and Bam Bam Bigelow. That isn't entirely true - the first ECW Living Dangerously is best remembered for one spot at the end of the ECW Television Championship match between Taz and Bam Bam Bigelow.

The match ended when both men tumbled back and somehow managed to do so with such force that they went through the ring, yet another crowd-popping moment in the long and storied history of ECW's envelope pushing. The problem here is that before they got to that moment, Taz and Bigelow spent the majority of the match wasting time. Taz and Bigelow could have put on a simple strong-style classic at this point, but instead they merely stalled.

This was ECW booking at its most frustrating. It is still talked about today, but it can be argued that the company may have been in a better position if some of the over-the-top moves were scaled back somewhat. Two excellent wrestlers put on a plodding brawl of sorts, all in the name of a silly idea that didn't really look that great when it finally happened.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
