10 Worst Moments From WWE’s Best Performers

8. AJ Styles' Brief Run In Y2AJ

Individually, Chris Jericho and AJ Styles are two of the greatest in-ring performers to ever lace up a pair of wrestling boots. Together though, they looked like a pair of 40-something dads wearing their flashy new custom-made t-shirts before a stag do weekend in Spain.

The whole "Y2AJ" thing was anything but cool, and it was a dreadful way to use the freshly-debuted Styles.

Before continuing, please don't think this writer is bashing WWE for viewing Jericho as an ideal opponent for AJ at WrestleMania 32. He was, but the story could have done without that cringeworthy forced teamwork (the smiles both shared would send a shiver up one's spine) or the glitzy, slick WWE-fied team name.

It wasn't until AJ stopped playing pals with Jericho (who later found better chemistry with Kevin Owens) and started getting the chance to show his chops as a workhorse wrestler that he began to shine. Before then, in Y2AJ, he came across like an insincere goof who didn't exactly scream WWE Champion.
