However, it wasn't "just" a straightforward DUI; when Nick crashed his yellow Toyota Supra, he was also charged with underage drinking and reckless driving. But the worse thing was that his friend and passenger, 22 year old John Graziano, wasn't wearing a seatbelt and ended up in a serious condition in hospital. Among his many injuries, Graziano had a broken skull and was left in a vegetative state that would require him to have specialist care for the rest of his life. Nick got jailed for 8 months after pleading no contest to the charges and served 166 days in prison. Graziano's family filed a lawsuit against Nick, adding further pressure on Hogan's finances at a time when Linda was threatening to take everything Hogan had.
