10 Worst Moments In Hulk Hogan's Career

6. Having To Admit To Steroid Use

Ever wonder how Hogan got those 24 inch pythons? It wasn't through taking his vitamins and saying his prayers. In 1994, Vince McMahon was wrapped up in a trial that put him in danger of serving real jail time. He was accused of supplying steroids to his wrestlers and Hulk Hogan was called by the prosecution as their star witness. It was alleged that Vince McMahon was directly giving Hogan steroids to make sure the biggest superstar in the WWF maintained his giant physique. Hogan was working for WCW at the time but still had no desire to testify against Vince McMahon or reveal his backstage secrets to the press who waited to hear what Hogan had to say. But being ordered to and under immunity from prosecution, Hogan took the stand. He told everyone how in the 1980's he would regularly take steroids. He said he would call Emily Feinberg who was then Mr. McMahon's executive secretary and ask her to:
''place an order for me with Dr. Zahorian."
Dr George Zahorian was a physician who was convicted of supplying steroids in connection with this case. Hogan said he would walk into WWF headquarters, collect his fan mail and steroids and walk out. He did this from 1981 to 1989. He claimed he took the steroids for healing injuries as well as bodybuilding and that he didn't realise it would be illegal because he had a prescription for them. But that didn't help ease the disappointment of the fans of Hogan who were standing outside the court. Even though he was the prosecutions main witness, Hogan refused to say that Vince McMahon gave him the steroids and McMahon was soon acquitted of all charges.
