10 Worst PPVs Of WWE PG Era
6. Over The Limit 2012
Over The Limit 2012 was a PPV that was met with extremely poor reviews from fans. Not just from a match quality perspective, but also because the match card was so lazily booked out that it made fans look stupid for paying for the PPV.
This PPV was notable for featuring the first-ever match between Daniel Bryan and CM Punk on WWE PPV. This was a dream match and instead of main eventing the PPV, that slot was given to John Cena vs. non-wrestler John Laurinaitis. What's worse, Laurinaitis won the comedy match thanks to interference by The Big Show, meaning fans were then forced to sit through Big Show vs. Cena as the top feud on RAW for the millionth time.
Elsewhere, the show featured two complete squash matches that belonged on TV rather than PPV, as Ryback pinned Camacho in 50 seconds and Brodus Clay pinned The Miz in five minutes. In terms of the World Title scene, Sheamus retained his belt in a fun fatal four-way which also consisted of Randy Orton, Alberto Del Rio and Chris Jericho. Sadly, it wasn't enough to save the show.
