10 Worst Survivor Series Elimination Matches EVER - According To Dave Meltzer

3. The Big Show Vs The Big Boss Man, Mideon, Prince Albert & Viscera (1999, -*)

Val Venis British Bulldog Mark Henry
WWE

When WWE elected to make the Survivor Series battle between The Big Show and The Big Boss Man's a hurdle rather than the finish line, a similar level of farce was apparently required between the ropes as it was at the funeral home.

Just days removed from bodyboarding on a coffin carrying his father's corpse, Show was on a fairly justifiable path of rage that blew through his own makeshift team before the match itself. Kai En Tai and The Blue Meanie were subject to an unprovoked dressing room hammering, as were the scrubs backing a bailing Boss Man in the match itself.

This was all to keep Show hot ahead of a pretty significant appearance fans weren't aware he'd be making in the main event later that evening.

WWE had heavily promoted the Austin/Rock/Triple H title topliner as the biggest match in company history, safe in the knowledge at least a fortnight earlier than 'The Rattlesnake' wouldn't be fit for purpose.

Selecting Big Show as a replacement and eventual winner, the decision was made to airlift him from the crew of losers he'd been booked next to in violent fashion. It was just a shame it failed so hard at actually being entertaining.
