6. The Elite (AEW Trios Championship, 3 Days)
The events of 'Brawl Out' made what should have been a triumphant return for The Elite a short-lived title reign that divided the AEW fan base between the trio and CM Punk. Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks were only champions for three days before Tony Khan made the decision to strip the trio of the title whilst an investigation into the backstage fight went on.
Death Triangle would then carry the titles after defeating the Best Friends for the vacant belts, which would help launch the trio's division despite all the turmoil. Of Course, The Elite would return to face PAC and the Lucha Brothers in a fantastic best-of-seven series, winning the Trios Championship for the second time.
It is hard to tell what kind of title reign The Elite would have had, or if they'd have even come up against Death Triangle had things all gone to plan. Nonetheless, the tumultuous start to the life of the Trios Championships could have ended the titles before they even got going, but thankfully AEW persevered with the idea which now looks to be a good one.
