10 Worst Title Reigns In AEW So Far

5. Thunder Rosa (AEW Women's Championship, 172 Days)

The legacy feud between Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker made the former beating the latter for the Women's title inevitable, but her ensuing title run was plagued by poor booking, backstage drama, and an unfortunate injury.

As previously mentioned, AEW really hasn't done the women's division any favors and champions often don't have much of a platform to perform at a high level. Rosa managed to defy these restraints in 2021, particularly when paired with Baker, but when she won the belt in 2022 she seemed devoid of confidence and power over the direction of her character.

After some good matches against the likes of Serena Deeb, Toni Storm, and Jamie Hayter, she would announce an injury that would take her out of action for an undetermined amount of time, eventually leading to her relinquishing the title.

AEW maybe should have just stripped the title from Thunder Rosa instead of determining an interim champion as she wasn't being helped by stories relating to her conduct backstage. Regardless, it it obvious she is a very talented asset to the women's division that would benefit from her being in it.
