10 Worst TNA X Division Champions Ever

5. Johnny Devine

TNA

'Hot Shot' Johnny Devine as X Division Champion back at the beginning of 2008 for all of 20 days. Until this point Devine had been in and out of TNA, performing in a variety of roles including spots in Team Canada, Paparazzi Productions and Serotonin. Despite being a perfectly cromulent performer, Devine pretty much peaked at 'decent faction guy'.

This didn't change in 2008, but he still managed to wring an X Division Championship reign out of it. Team 3D were the latest big men taking the X Division hostage, and Johnny Devine was their little stooge, their snitch. He defeated Jay Lethal for the title, but only thanks to the interference of Team 3D, Bubba hitting Lethal with a kendo stick.

Devine left the company not long after, and is pretty much semi-retired in 2016.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
