10 Worst WCW Gimmicks Ever

4. Arachnaman

Arachnaman, Arachnaman Does whatever an arachnid can Spins a web, any size Catches thieves just like flies Look out, here comes Arachnaman If there was ever the definition of a walking lawsuit, it's Arachnaman. Arachnaman was yet another in a long line of terrible gimmicks during the Jim Herd Era of WCW. Instead of licensing a Spiderman wrestler from Marvel Comics, WCW decided to simply create their own and even use the same costume (changing the red and blue colors to a disgusting yellow and purple). Arachnaman was actually portrayed by Brad Armstrong (member of the Armstrong wrestling family and son of the legendary Bob Armstrong), who was very good in the ring. Why they decided to stick him under a mask for this ridiculous gimmicks is a mystery. Needless to say, Marvel Comics was not very happy when Arachnaman started to appear on World Championship Wrestling television. With the threat of a lawsuit looming over the company, Arachnaman was sent to the big spiderweb in the sky.
