10 Worst World Champions In WWE History
6. The Miz
From 2008 to 2010, The Miz improved so much that the idea of him holding the WWE Championship went from being a joke to an inevitability. Sure enough, in 2010, he won the Raw Money in the Bank briefcase before capturing the title from Randy Orton.
Once Miz won the belt, though, it became clear that WWE was no longer committed to booking him properly. His performances - both in the ring and on the microphone - ensured that he stayed over, but his feuds with the likes of Randy Orton and Jerry Lawler simply made him look like a joke. The Lawler feud was especially notable, as it showed how much difficulty he had handling an over-the-hill announcer.
Things got worse, though. Miz was the defending champion heading into a WrestleMania main event with John Cena, but the real heat was between Cena and The Rock, who made his return to WWE in order to host the show. Miz was a third-tier player in his own match, and even though he won, it was only because The Rock interfered on his behalf.
The next month, Miz lost the title. He has yet to recapture it.
