10 Worst WrestleMania Endings Ever
Did The Rock really have to endorse John Cena at WrestleMania 29?
Having looked previously at the ten best endings in WrestleMania's 30-year history, what better way to prepare for Sunday's show than a pessimistic ramble through the very worst conclusions offered up by the WWE's biggest annual spectacle. Although its reputation as the natural culmination point for the year's biggest feuds makes WrestleMania a useful tool for both writers and workers, it must be recognised as a double-edged sword. The weight of expectation can often lead to crushing disappointment, just as it can fuel a huge reaction to a well-received show. No matter the poor state of the booking on the road to 'Mania, at no other time of the year does the magic of wrestling seem most alive; a poor show can therefore bring the fanbase crashing back down to earth with bitter consequences. At no point is this more important than the main event. A great match at the top of the card can put a nice sheen on an otherwise lacklustre event, while a bad one can taint the entire show. From damp squibs billed as industry-shaping mega-clashes to simply awful booking decisions, lacklustre appearances from men who should be nowhere near the top of the card to awful decisions made by those who should really know better, WrestleMania has thrown up as many terrible endings as it has inspiring.
