10 Worst Wrestling Matches In Halloween Havoc History
7. Junkyard Dog Vs Moondog Rex (1990)
This is that rarest of beasts - a match so bad they haven’t even included it with the PPV. Admittedly this may be due mainly to the picture quality - eight whole pixels for your delectation - but the clash itself is a total stinker.
It’s a shame, too, because everybody loves to see Junkyard Dog. The howling, headbutting megastar was a way off his prime here, but it’s no less enjoyable to bask in his presence. Less exciting but still charming is Moondog Rex, who had another seven years in his career at this point, though you wouldn’t know it to look at them.
The two rotund wrasslers simply aren’t up to doing very much. They come off the ropes at a crawl and attempt a couple of shoulder tackles while Jim Ross waxes lyrical about JYD’s football career. He warns us from the off it’s not going to be too “scientific” a clash - you can say that again.
JYD wins with a falling headbutt, and tragically the crowd couldn’t care less. Everyone deserves better here - him, Moondog, and especially the greater viewing public.
