10 Worst Wrestling Name Changes
8. Low Ki - Kaval
It's important to note with this entry that Kaval is by no means an awful name. In fact, under a different wrestler, it might have worked well. It's catchy, has a unique edge to it and its solo nature makes it feel snappy. But, applying it to this decorated indie star felt like a missed opportunity, as he already had such a great identity.
This performer known as Low Ki - real name Brandon Silvestry - was tearing up the Ring of Honor scene in his early days, even becoming the promotion's inaugural World Heavyweight Champion. He then moved on to great pastures in TNA and experimented with a name change - now going by Senshi - but it was clear that this wasn't the right call.
Eventually, when he made his way to WWE, the decision was made to change his name to Kaval. It was typical of the company to change indie stars names to give them a pure start in WWE, but in this case, it shouldn't have happened.
Silvestry derived the name Low Ki from the lyrics to the song "No Diggity", but you'd never tell it had such an origin, as the name is badass and has an individuality that not many wrestlers are able to find.
