10 Worst Wrestling Name Changes
7. Mark Andrews - Mandrews
When it comes to choosing the name of your newest star, you probably want to go with something that makes them seem like a real person, not something that sounds like an improvised character from Rick and Morty. But, for some reason, that's the direction TNA decided to go in with this fresh British star during his run. Although the name might have been from his past, that didn't mean it was a good idea.
Mark Andrews found his start in wrestling at an early age and started to make some significant headway quickly. The name Mandrews had been around for some time - a play on his real name Mark Andrews - and was used with an ironic self-awareness. This was particularly evident in his days with Triple X Wrestling, where he was part of the parody NexXxus stable under the name Mandrews Tarver.
When this high-flying wrestler found himself winning TNA's British Boot Camp, it seemed like a great sign for him, and this only got better after he made his debut. But, he did so under the name Mandrews, which made him sound ridiculous.
Thankfully, he dropped the name as soon as he was out of TNA, and that was the right choice.
