10 Worst Wrestling PPV Concepts Ever

Sometimes, things are best kept simple!

The WWE Network may have changed the way the company approaches Pay-Per-View, but the fact remains that WWE are always on the look out for concepts and ideas which will expand their core audience, and peak interest in those who have lapsed and fallen away from the product. With the Network, WWE are less reliant on PPV buyrates, which were all the rage in the 1990's - it seemed a month couldn't go past without wrestling fans discussing the various numbers associated with just how many people were watching which shows, comparing between WCW and WWE. Obviously, the former promotion is now defunct, and WWE don't really have much competition, at least not in the wrestling world. That doesn't mean that Vince McMahon isn't always looking for ways in which to gain more attention, and have as many eyes as possible watching his show. This has led to the man desperately searching for anything which might make people sit up and take notice. This list aims to look at some of the more wacky ways pro wrestling promotions have tried to get fans to buy into what they're selling over the years, and includes some strange ways companies have promoted Pay-Per-View events. These will bring back many memories for wrestling fans, some good and some horrific!
