5. WWE Bragging Rights
Whomever was responsible for green-lighting a team-based Pay-Per-View mere months before Survivor Series, then being surprised that the latter flopped that year, deserves to be seriously grilled with some tough questions. Why was Bragging Rights even envisioned, when WWE had already built the Survivor Series name with wrestling fans? In 2009, just as sure as Hell In A Cell had, Bragging Rights would do more harm than good for the WWE product. The entire concept of the show was based around Smackdown vs. Raw, but why wouldn't the promotion just wait until the traditional November PPV to book this? A very cheesy looking trophy was up for grabs, and it'd be the blue brand which left victorious, but not before fans wondered what in the name of blue hell the WWE creative team were smoking. Bragging Rights would only take place twice, and it seems the promotion have done away with the idea now, but on both occasions it'd leave fans scratching their heads. Vince McMahon once said that he felt Survivor Series was a tired concept, so why did WWE decide to run a show with a very similar approach just months before?
