10 Worst Wrestling PPV Endings
5. WCW Halloween Havoc 1995
IT'S THE YETAY! THE YETAY IS HERE!
By now, most fans are aware of why Tony Schiavone pronounced yeti like that: he thought this whole thing was stupid, and so he was gonna make it as stupid as he could. God bless you, Mr. Schiavone. Your p*ss-taking has inspired generations of wrestling fans.
So, why was there even a yeti cosplaying as a mummy in the main event of a PPV anyway? Because WCW in 1995 was very, very silly. Basically, Hulk Hogan was feuding with The Giant (AKA the future Big Show), who was a member of the Dungeon of Doom. The Dungeon were a tongue-in-cheek cartoonish outfit designed to get Hulk Hogan to trust WCW booker Kevin Sullivan.
As part of the Dungeon's dastardly plan, during Hogan's match against The Giant for the world title, the Yetay (real name Ron Reiss) stumbled out to the ring and began... dry humping the Hulkster, best we can tell. Oh, also, Jimmy Hart turned heel on Hogan and joined the Dungeon along with Lex Luger, who was stomping Randy Savage in the background while the Hogan/Yetay sodomy was going on. Oh, and also, Hogan technically lost by DQ (for some reason), and it was later explained that Jimmy Hart put a clause in the contract that allowed the belt to switch hands via DQ, so while all this was going on, Giant became the world champion in his first official match.
If none of that made sense to you, congratulations, you are more qualified to run WCW than the people who actually did.
