10 Worst WWE Champions Of Each Of The Past 10 Years

8. Sheamus (2015)

Clearly, given the fact they created a t-shirt out of the catchphrase and had Sheamus repeat it ad nauseam on TV, WWE believed they had struck gold with "Sheamus 5:15". The Austin 3:16-lite phrase was coined due to the Irishman's approx five-minute win over Roman Reigns at Survivor Series 2015 (another MITB cash in).

A scant three weeks later, Sheamus was dropping the title to Reigns in a "Title vs. Career" match refereed by Vince McMahon on Raw. WWE's intentions to paint Reigns as renegade babyface akin to classic Steve Austin didn't convince the masses that Roman was worth rooting for.

As for Sheamus, he was a quick heel replacement for the brilliant Seth Rollins, a man who had carried the title for the bulk of the year.

Brock Lesnar, Rollins and Reigns were the other WWE Champions in 2015. Two (the first pair on that list) were awesome. The others, Reigns and Sheamus, ended the year on a low note and gave WWE yet another excuse to build Raw around The Authority.
