10 Worst WWE Champions Of Each Of The Past 10 Years

Randy Orton's aforementioned 2013 title run suffered from the same level of staleness John Cena's 2014 one did.

As much as it's hard to criticise WWE for giving us that magical Daniel Bryan moment at WrestleMania XXX, it could have happened earlier. Instead, Orton cashed in his MITB privileges at SummerSlam 2013, ruined Daniel's first WWE Title win and revealed The Authority's plans to trash Bryan.

The story, in fairness, was a good one. Randy's title reign wasn't. 28 days after beating Bryan at SummerSlam, Orton dropped the title in controversial circumstances to him at Night Of Champions. Then, once the title was vacated, he beat Daniel again at Hell In A Cell.

That's when WWE moved Bryan out of the title picture, replaced him with Big Show (which nobody wanted) and then had Orton resume his never-ending feud with John Cena at TLC and the Royal Rumble. Whether creative were stalling for time so Bryan could have his 'Mania moment or not, Orton's two reigns in 2013 blew.
