Whereas CM Punk tore it up in 2012 as a popular WWE Champion, Big Show ended the year as a decidedly unpopular World Heavyweight Champ. He was only one of three men to hold the title in 2012, joined by Daniel Bryan and Sheamus, the latter of whom held onto it for a whopping 210 days.

Sheamus was often unconvincing in the lead babyface role during his reign, but he wasn't helped by weak feuds against Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler. The title came across as secondary, and that only continued when Show bagged the belt at Hell In A Cell and was booked as a physically dominant heel champion.

Rematches with Sheamus at Survivor Series and TLC (in the lame duck Chairs Match stipulation) failed to electrify too. Once Show moved on from the rivalry, he tried in vain to get Del Rio over as an Eddie Guerrero-style Latino babyface. That didn't work as planned either.

To recap, Show worked two flat feuds in 72 days with the title.
