10 Worst WWE Championship Matches In WrestleMania History

5. Triple H Vs. Chris Jericho (WrestleMania X8)

AKA: that match that came on after Rock vs. Hogan (well, technically, there was a six-minute women's triple threat in between them, but you get what I mean).

Yes, WrestleMania X8 is mainly remembered for the instant classic clash of generations between The Rock and Hulk Hogan. With the crowd as nuclear as they were for the return of The Hulkster, how could they cheer on anything else after that?

Well, I have no doubt that Triple H and Jericho could have been able to get the crowd back on their side with a good match, but this night was not about good matches, no no. This was about BS soap opera nonsense. The story of this match was not Chris Jericho defending the Undisputed Championship against Triple H. It was about Triple H trying to beat up Stephanie, but Jericho wouldn't allow it.

What, you think wrestling shows should be about wrestlers trying to beat each other in wrestling matches to win wrestling titles? Get out of here with that! Wrestling fans watch wrestling to see a roided barbarian-type beat up his ex-wife because she was mean to him. They're making movies, pal!

If you think I'm ignoring the in-ring content of this match, it's because there's nothing to talk about in that capacity. Just like in the buildup, Jericho was a complete non-factor in this entire ordeal.
