Anyone remember Fatal 4-Way?

Of course you do - it's hilarious.

This one-of-a-kind PPV actually produced some big news. The night ended with Sheamus pinning John Cena to win his second WWE Championship. This sounds like a big deal, but it becomes less impressive when you realise that he got a massive assist from The Nexus. The Irishman's time with the gold was massively overshadowed by Wade Barrett and his gang of yellow-and-black nitwits. It didn't help that his title defences were absolutely dreadful.

He took on Randy Orton at SummerSlam in one of the slowest, unexciting title bouts you will ever watch. Oh, and it ended via DQ, just to make things even worse. Then came Night of Champions, at which Sheamus lost the title in a six-pack challenge. He was pinned by Orton amid the melee, rendering the other four participants utterly useless.

His only other title defence? A 10-second squash of Zack Ryder on RawConsidering how strong his World Heavyweight Championship run was in 2012, it's bizarre that Sheamus couldn't make it work with the title on the other brand.
