2020 - NXT to Raw

Who? That might sound harsh on Arturo Ruas, but if you weren't keeping up with NXT, you'd have no idea who the 60th and final 2020 draft pick was.

Chosen dead last on an episode of Raw Talk, you'd have been forgiven for loading up Wikipedia to find out who he was. If you chose to wait until his first match on Raw to see what he could do then you're still waiting.

Well, he did have a match on Raw before the draft, but you'll have to look back on the Raw Underground era to remember it. Ruas showed up at Shane McMahon's surreal fight club and knocked out Mikey Spandex. Without doing anything at all, Ruas was quickly sent back to NXT and released in 2021. He'd wrestle for AEW under the name Tiger Ruas but that run didn't last long either.

Credit has to go to WWE for trying to bring stars of NXT onto the main roster, it just doesn't always work out.

When I'm not trying my hardest to visit all 50 U.S. states, I'm listening to music from the 80s, watching TV from the 90s, and reminiscing about growing up in the 00s. I'm currently living in Melbourne, Australia so WWE premium live events are on Sunday afternoons for me; the absolute dream.
