10 Worst WWE Draft Selections Ever
2. Pick 6, 2005 (SmackDown): Muhammad Hassan And Khosrow Daivari
Chances are you're already well acquainted with the antics of Muhammad Hassan and manager Khosrow Daivari. The controversial angle on 4 July - during which Hassan prayed to Allah and summoned five masked men depicted as terrorists to savagely beat the Undertaker three days before the London bombings - has been well publicised to say the least.
What is lesser known, however, is that Hassan had only been drafted to SmackDown on 23 June; essentially, he was drafted just in time to create an international controversy.
As far as draft picks go, having your selection be the subject of criticism across all major American news outlets - even SmackDown broadcaster UPN requested to monitor the story closely and even asked to remove Hassan the following week all together - is just about as bad as it gets.
If Hassan's selection wasn't already bad enough, all nine of the other 2005 Draft Lottery selections turned out be great choices in hindsight. However, when all eyes should have been on John Cena as WWE Champion and Batista as World Heavyweight Champion switching brands, WWE showered itself in negativity.
