When you have the first pick in the draft at the beginning of the night and absolutely nothing to show for it at the end of the night, you haven't done very well for yourself.

WWE absolutely adored John Cena in 2011. Although some fans were growing restless, he was still at the forefront of WWE programming whenever possible, making his switch to SmackDown to boost ratings logical. Sadly for WWE's B show, that didn't quite eventuate.

In a kayfabe sense, it doesn't get any more agonising than having the first pick and luckily drafting the top man in the business, then having that same guy be drafted by the other show with the night's final pick in exchange for nothing.

The hilarious turn of events marked the second time a superstar had returned to their original show during the same event. Triple H, who was drafted to SmackDown in 2004, was traded back to Raw in return for a swag of assets.

Overly-opinionated Australian WWE smark who is definitely not #booty. Slowly angering the IWC one article at a time. We will probably strongly dislike each other - let's be friends! @MattKMarsden
