This group has only been around for about a month, but theyve already done plenty to secure a spot high atop this list of awful 2014 gimmicks. This group showed some promise months earlier, when Xavier Woods convinced Big E and Kofi Kingston to team up with him and form a heel stable. This was an interesting turn of events, as Kofi had never worked as a heel in the eight years he had been with the company. It would be a fresh new direction for a very stale character. The storyline was scrapped before it even had a chance, and each man went on to do his own thing. Then WWE tried another opportunity to put the group together with a sort of gospel motif. What WWE succeeding in doing was adding another version of 3MB, albeit a babyface one. It remains to be seen what their true motives are, as JBL hinted on commentary in the TLC kickoff show that he thinks theyre insincere, and if that was the case, it would be a fabulous wrinkle in an otherwise bland group. The smart money is on the fact that WWE creative has nothing for these guys and are lumping them back together, similar to what they did with 3MB.
