10 Worst WWE Intercontinental Champions Of All Time

6. Zack Ryder

WWE have badly let Zack Ryder down over the years, because there's a great chance he would have drawn money in the promotion had officials not sabotaged his self-cultivated image. Ryder did everything to get himself over via social media and YouTube, but his employers didn't see him as anything more than mid-card fodder.

Long after fans had accepted he would never be pushed, the enthusiastic Ryder was randomly handed a 24 hour reign as Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania 32.

The inclusion of Zack's title stint here isn't his fault; the man was simply made to look like an afterthought following another emotional moment in a journey wrestling fans could identify with. Losing to The Miz on Raw the night after 'Mania put Ryder straight back in his place.

There were easier options open to WWE if they wished to make The Miz look cruel, and cutting down Ryder's moment so prematurely actually hurt the Intercontinental Title more than it got the heel over as new champion.
