10 Worst WWE Matches Of 2021 (So Far)

4. Lacey Evans Vs. Charlotte Flair (Raw, February 8th)

Compared to some of the entries elsewhere on this list, Charlotte Flair's turkey with Lacey Evans from the February 8th edition of Monday Night Raw has a certain charm.

The match was rubbish. It was just rubbish. The pair had almost no chemistry together, Charlotte Flair was taking longer than expected to shake off some post-return rust, and an angle implying that 'The Queen's puce old da Ric was scuttling 'The Sassy Southern Belle' after the shows weighed everything down with a gross type of sadness.

It's not really worth a revisit, but a botched slap spot between the two was the most egregious example of heads being elsewhere and bodies thankfully not suffering the consequences. It didn't break the immersion, but only because that had long f*cked off.

The contest was, mercifully, the last they'd have. Evans announced her pregnancy on air a week later (and in that respect, that she continued to come to work at all in the weeks prior was fairly remarkable) and the feud and Flair's bizarre road to WrestleMania came to a screeching halt.
