Backstage Update On Private Party (AEW News)

The latest news on Private Party's AEW status.

Private Party Isiah Kassidy Marq Quen

While it was known that Private Party's Marq Quen has been on the sidelines due to an unfortunate injury, it appears that Quen's partner Isiah Kassidy is also dealing with some physical issues.

Per PWInsider, Kassidy is said to be "banged up and hurt as well", which would go some way to explain Zay's absence from AEW programming.

Having been away from AEW TV for 13 months, Private Party made their surprise return in February. Unfortunately, that return was short-lived, wrestling just three matches before Marq Quen went down with injury. The specifics of the injury aren't known, only that it's a tear of some sort. Storyline-wise, the Death Riders were credited with injuring Quen, with Isiah Kassidy cutting a Collision promo lambasting that faction and noting that he's now all alone. Kassidy has not been seen since, and there's currently no word on when either Quen or Kassidy will be back in action.

Prior to that February return, Private Party had not competed for AEW since a January 2025 episode of Dynamite, where the Hurt Syndicate ended Quen and Kassidy's run as the AEW Tag Team Champions at 84 days. However, both men were believed to be fit and healthy during that time off AEW TV, including wrestling for House of Glory - all with several reports that WWE had notable interest in the team and that their existing AEW deals were expiring.

Two incredibly talented wrestlers, here's hoping it's not too long before Quen and Kassidy are back amongst it in AEW's absolutely stacked tag team division.
