10 Worst WWE Money In The Bank Cash-Ins
5. Brock Lesnar (Extreme Rules 2019)
He was the champion we didn't want; the champion we didn't deserve. The way Lesnar decided he was suddenly part of the Money In The Bank match itself, coming down right at the end to snatch the win and smirk his way to the back was vintage Lesnar but complete nonsense in terms of taking us out of the moment and groaning with a grim acceptance that of course, Brock was just going to be in the match for three minutes and win.
His viral antics and teases with the briefcase were brilliant, in fairness. However, not only did we have to deal with having The Beast Incarnate as part-time Universal Champion for the third time, but it also undid all the great work WWE had done by putting Seth Rollins over Lesnar at WrestleMania 35.
WWE: booking themselves into stupid corners and finding a way out that pleases nobody since forever. The fact that Lesnar only held the title for a month, dropping it back to Rollins at SummerSlam, proves the whole story had no direction other than "Imagine if Brock won Money In The Bank?" The briefcase should be a doorway for WWE's next big thing in to walk through, not the former Next Big Thing. Big difference, WWE.
