10 Worst WWE Money In The Bank Cash-Ins

Man, this one sucked on many different levels. Firstly, John Cena was only 20 days into a reign he kicked off by just walking up to new champ Rey Mysterio, fresh off winning his first WWE title, and challenging him to a match that same night, because why not? It could quite easily have been Rey in that spot against CM Punk at SummerSlam.

Then, Punk beats Cena, becoming the unified titleholder, kickstarting the Summer of Punk, opening ice cream bars in venues nationwide and... that's right, none of that happened, he got battered by Kevin Nash for absolutely no reason, and headed off to waste time feuding with Nash and Triple H while Del Rio took his title.

Del Rio held the belt for a month, dropped it back to Cena, who dropped it back to Del Rio, who was finally beaten by Punk to kick off that 434-day run; only three months and one ice-cold feud later than it should have happened. The Mexican Aristocrat never got going in WWE, and putting him in Punk's spotlight when The Best In The World was hitting his peak was such a poor decision. To make things even more depressing, guess who the special guest ref was.
