10 Worst WWE Money In The Bank Cash-Ins

6. Randy Orton (SummerSlam 2013)

Two years prior to Sheamus being the one to do The Authority's dirty bidding, Randy Orton was enlisted by Triple H to get the belt off Daniel Bryan. The situation mirrored what we would see with Sheamus and Reigns (a large reason why The Authority isn't missed by a single person on Earth); Bryan winning his maiden WWE Championship, only to have it wrenched from his grasp within minutes. There was even confetti.

This time, however, we actually wanted to see Bryan pull through, and WWE still made a mess of pulling the rug from under us. Triple H was guest referee, which raised immediate red flags and ultimately telegraphed some kind of nonsense coming our way. Orton being the one to hold the title was of interest to nobody at this stage in his career, so the closing shot of SummerSlam was showered in go-away boos.

On this day, Bryan beating John Cena clean before being Authoritied out of the main event he so desperately deserved was classic fan disservice, which would not go unpunished by the WWE Universe. Bryan's world title aspirations might have ended there and then, had the fans not forced that 'Mania XXX main event to happen.
