10 Worst WWE Pay-Per-Views Of The Ruthless Aggression Era
6. Unforgiven 2007
The entire marketing for the Unforgiven 2007 PPV centred around the in-ring return of The Undertaker. The Undertaker would face Mark Henry as Undertaker would seek revenge for Henry costing him the World Title months prior. The match between the two would main event the PPV, which unfortunately didn't exactly light the world on fire. The matches between the two men were usually poor so WWE marketing this as the sole reason to buy the PPV did little to generate fan interest.
The rest of the card was equally as underwhelming. John Cena and Randy Orton would continue their WWE Title feud, sadly their match would end in six minutes after a DQ finish. The PPV highlight was The Great Khali's horrendous World Title reign finally coming to an end. Batista won a triple threat match which also consisted of Rey Mysterio, in a short eight-minute match.
Other matches on the card included Triple H vs Carlito and CM Punk vs Elijah Burke, both of delivered TV quality matches. The PPV took place during a time period where brand exclusive PPVs had been discontinued. Therefore, WWE orchestrating a PPV as terrible as this with all the talent they had available was extremely disappointing.
