10 Worst WWE Pay-Per-Views Of The Ruthless Aggression Era

Vengeance 2006 suffered greatly because it was placed two weeks after ECW One Night Stand. This meant that the RAW brand had to build an entire card in the space of two-weeks and unfortunately it showed.

The main event featured the returning DX facing the entire Spirit Squad in a handicap match. Whilst the match had some comedic moments, it had no place in the main event slot of a PPV. The first and only PPV match of the WWE Title reign of RVD would be placed in the middle of the card, which spoke volumes as to the perception of him as WWE Champion at the time.

Other underwhelming matches included Kane vs Kane, which was so poorly received that the storyline would be dropped 24 hours later on RAW. Umaga would face Eugune and Ric Flair would face Mick Foley in a 2-out-of-3-falls match. Both of which had different purposes on the show, but fan intrigue in both certainly wasn't to the degree WWE wanted.

The PPV did have one highlight. Kurt Angle's last ever WWE PPV match for over ten-years took place. He would face Randy Orton in the opening match in the best match of the show by leaps and bounds.
