10 Worst WWE PPV Matches Of 2020 (So Far)

7. Asuka vs. Nia Jax (Backlash)

Asuka, meanwhile, was asked to toil for eight excruciating minutes with someone who has become best-known for hurting her peers. If that sounds unfair, then take a gander at Nia Jax' sloppy Jackhammer-style move at Backlash - she almost dropped the Raw Women's Champ right on the top of head.

That summed things up.

Jax can be useful when she's given a prolonged sprint at relevance, and nobody should rule out coming matches (and they are coming) with Asuka from turning a corner. Together, they have to knock heads and figure out how to improve on Backlash; their match didn't land, had a crappy double count out finish and felt more like it should've happened on regular TV than pay-per-view.

The good news is that Jax is only keeping Asuka warm for more engaging talents like Shayna Baszler. Again though, the champ deserves better than this sort of plodding fare.
